Tina Claydon, Director of Residential Services for The Arc of East Middlesex, has been working with people with disabilities for over 20 years, starting in high school where she taught British Sign Language to fellow students and helped establish a recreation group for local hearing impaired children and their siblings. Since then Tina has gained a wealth of experience working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families; she managed an after school and school vacation program for children with physical and/or developmental disabilities and their siblings, worked in both direct care and management positions in two residential programs and spent 10 years working in an Intensive Support Unit with adults who were experiencing extreme behavioral challenges. Tina, a native of Great Britain, graduated in Psychology and Social Work from the University of Greenwich in London, England. Tina joined The Arc of East Middlesex in 1998 as part of its International Program and as Director of Residential Services currently oversees the day to day operations of EMARCs Residential Programs.
