This four part workshop focuses on helping parents explore ways to create individualized Supportive Living arrangements for their sons and daughters. Armed with information from our guest speakers, we will work together to brainstorm creative ideas, learn about the contributions families need to make, and take practical steps to make housing dreams a reality.
Topics covered include Section 8 and other housing subsidies, future planning, how you can finance housing, different types of residential programs, Adult Family Care, support services and partnering with agencies. We will also hear from parents who were successful in creating housing for their adult children with disabilities, and learn how they made it happen!
